Preston “PJ” Walker was recently awarded multiple scholarships through his dancing


Preston “PJ” Walker (BCD, ‘26) was recently awarded a $1,600 scholarship from the Petite Oasis Foundation, a non-profit that supports boys/men in their ballet training. He also won second place in the Senior Men's Classical category at Youth American Grand Prix (YAGP) regionals and first place with a cash prize in the Senior Men’s Contemporary Dance category at the YAGP regional semifinals in Los Angeles. At the YAGP finals in Florida, Preston participated in master classes and a week-long competition where he was offered four scholarships/acceptances for either short-term or summer intensive training. This summer he will be attending the Houston Ballet Summer Intensive for five weeks on a full tuition/housing scholarship and the Boys Ballet Summer Intensive, in Cary, North Carolina, for two weeks on scholarship.
