ESTADO DE LA TÉCNICA

Hannah Cho (IM, '25) obtuvo el 3er puesto en el concurso nacional de interpretación de la Asociación Nacional de Profesores de Música (MTNA), tras haber ganado anteriormente en los niveles estatal y de la división suroeste. Recibirá un premio de 300 dólares del fondo de la Fundación MTNA.

Zoe Harrison (PD, 25 años) recibió dos instrumentos de Yamaha y los convirtió en proyectos artísticos. Su pieza de violín fue seleccionada para exponerse en la galería Able Arts Work de Long Beach y la de guitarra, en el Muzeo de Anaheim.

Los siguientes estudiantes fueron reconocidos como semifinalistas en el 33º Programa Anual Spotlight de The Music Center. Spotlight es un programa de formación artística y becas para adolescentes aclamado en todo el país que concede anualmente más de 100.000 dólares en becas en metálico. Los semifinalistas tienen la oportunidad de asistir a una clase magistral especial en su disciplina con artistas de gran prestigio que comparten sus conocimientos sobre técnica interpretativa, formación y vida profesional. Cada semifinalista realizará virtualmente una audición más, y los dos mejores intérpretes finalistas de cada categoría serán seleccionados para un total de 14 finalistas del Gran Premio.

Katherine Wong (CW, ‘21) was named a 2021 Coca-Cola Scholar in recognition of her superior leadership, service, and academics, as well as her efforts to positively affect others in her community. Out of the 251 regional finalists across the country, she was one of 150 selected to receive a $20,000 college scholarship and join a network of more than 6,000 Coca-Cola Scholar alumni that encourage, challenge, and support each other in their common goal of making the world a better place.

Lilah D. Horton (CMD, ‘21) was selected as last year's Dance Artist of the Year by the Orange County Register as part of a competition that included 100 nominated dance artists from all over Orange County’s public, private, and charter high school community. She was the first-ever Artist of the Year from OCSA's Commercial Dance Conservatory in the 30-year tenure of former Director Jim Kolb.

El Club del Día Nacional de la Historia de la OCSA, fundado por Anjal Jain (CV, '22), compitió en el Concurso del Día Nacional de la Historia del Condado de Orange. El equipo de la OCSA Science Olympiad High School (División C) compitió en la competencia regional del Condado de Orange y se ubicó en 14 de los 29 eventos. Tane Kim (IM, '24) obtuvo el 3er puesto en la 66ª Feria Anual de Ciencias e Ingeniería del Condado de Orange (OCSEF) por su trabajo de investigación titulado "Analyzing TCGA Data to Identify Gene Mutations Linked with Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Asians".

Hannah Cho (IM, '25) obtuvo el 3er puesto en el concurso nacional de interpretación de la Asociación Nacional de Profesores de Música (MTNA), tras haber ganado anteriormente en los niveles estatal y de la división suroeste. Recibirá un premio de 300 dólares del fondo de la Fundación MTNA.

El Equipo de Debate OCSA asistió al torneo bi-costero del Programa de Debate Público de la Escuela Secundaria y recibió el 1er lugar por el mayor porcentaje de victorias en las rondas de debate y el 1er lugar por la mejor escuela en general. Los siguientes estudiantes participaron y se colocaron.
