Each year, the OCSA Foundation hosts a themed, black-tie Gala, featuring spectacular student performances. Gala is OCSA’s largest, most prestigious fundraiser of the year, raising more than $2 million for the school annually.

Vocal Auditions

Interdepartmental Open Call for ALL Grade 9-12 Vocalists

Wednesday, October 23, 2024 | DMS 115

Check In Begins: 4:45 p.m. (Please plan on arriving 15 minutes early to your audition time slot to allow time for registration.)

Auditions: 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Callbacks: 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. (While not every student will be called back, please make yourself available if you are called from 8:00 - 9:00 p.m.)

We are looking for featured and ensemble vocalists for Gala 2025. This show will feature an eclectic mix of deeply inspired music from genres including classic and contemporary rock, R&B, crossover country and blues, and more. Please prepare 16 bars of a song that inspires you. We are looking for storytelling, emotional connection and songs that have stood the test of time, being covered by multiple artists. In addition, choose something that showcases your vocal quality and range along with your stage presence. 

It is preferable that you either provide a track or accompany yourself. No CD's or streaming a YouTube video for your track. An accompanist will NOT be provided. 

*Be sure to bring a printed copy of the completed form, a headshot or recent school photo, and your resume (if you have one) to your audition.

*Come dressed to impress!

VOCALIST AUDITION FORM

The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. 

MANDATORY VOCAL ORIENTATION: Vocalists who are selected to participate in Gala 2025 will be expected to attend a Vocal Orientation on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 2:45 - 4:45 p.m. in the Center for the Arts, Room C200.

 

Dance Auditions

Interdepartmental Open Call for ALL Grade 9-12 Jazz/Contemporary Dancers

Wednesday, October 23, 2024 | DMS 114

Registration: 5:00 p.m. (Please plan to arrive at 5:00 p.m. to allow time for registration, and come dressed to dance!)

Auditions: 5:15 - 7:00 p.m. 

We are looking for featured and ensemble dancers from all conservatories.

*The combination will be taught during the audition

*Be sure to bring a printed copy of the completed form, a headshot or recent school photo, and your resume (if you have one) to your audition.

MANDATORY DANCER ORIENTATION: Dancers who are selected to participate in Gala 2025 will be expected to attend a Dancer Orientation on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 2:45 - 5:00 p.m. in DMS 114.

 

Greeter Auditions

We are looking for students from all conservatories who are masters of conversation and are confident, outgoing, witty, and personable.

*Be sure to bring a printed copy of the completed form, a headshot or recent school photo, and your resume (if you have one) to your audition.

MANDATORY GREETER ORIENTATION: The Gala Greeter Orientation will take place in March 2025 and the specific date will be sent out by Jamie Schofield and Julia Rudge.
