All OCSA Graduation Requirements (Literature and Composition, Math, Science, Social Studies, World Language, PE, and Fine Arts), must be taken initially at OCSA to ensure the student is being taught according to the standards established by both the OCSA Board of Trustees and the State of California.
Any course taken outside of OCSA must be pre-approved by a high school counselor. To take a class for remediation or enrichment, students may attend summer school at any accredited high school, California Community College or UC approved online program. Please check the UC articulation website HERE to make sure the specific course you are interested in taking is on the institution's approved course list. While there are hundreds of acceptable UC Approved Online Providers, below is a list of frequently used programs:
California Community College information can be found on your local community college website. Students will need to create an account and complete a K-12 permission form (also called Special Admit Form). A high school counselor or administrator will need to sign off on the form prior to enrollment in a class.
